From a small beginning as a daycare and activity center to becoming a comprehensive childcare solution, our journey has been guided by our commitment to excellence in early childhood education and care.

Our Story

Welcome to Aiko Child Care! I'm Savithri Suduge, the Founder and Managing Director of Aiko Child Care. With over 18 years of experience in early childhood education, including working in Japanese daycare centers and preschools, my passion has always been to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children.

When I returned to Sri Lanka, I searched for a daycare that prioritized love, care, and safety while making children feel at home. When I couldn't find the right fit, I decided to create it myself and that's how Aiko Child Care was born. At Aiko, we focus on holistic child development, emphasizing creativity, teamwork, personality growth, and physical development, rather than just academics.

Our Milestones

- 2019: Launched Aiko Day Care and Activities Centre
- 2020: Expanded with The Cubby House
- 2021: Introduced Aiko Play Group
- 2022: Opened Aiko Babies and Toddlers Infant Section
- 2023: Added Aiko Home Visit and Nanny Services
- 2024: Launched the Aiko Model House, bringing every essential service for children and parents together in one place, and established the Aiko Teacher and Childcare Training School, registered under TVEC, offering NVQ Level 4 certificates and diplomas in daycare management and preschool education

About Me

I am proud to hold the following qualifications that have strengthened my expertise in the early childhood sector:

- Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from the University of Northampton, UK
- Diploma in Montessori Method of Education from Modern Montessori International, London
- Diploma in Childcare Center Management from the School of Teacher Training

As an ACECQA-approved early childhood educator and center director, I am dedicated to creating a loving, supportive environment for children to thrive. Today, Aiko Child Care serves over 100 children and employs a passionate team of 30 staff members.
